Mission Statement: Crew¡¦s purpose is to create a multi-generational community facility that will provide a variety of activities intended to increase recreation, exercise and wellness accessible to all residents of Lamoille County and the surrounding area.
Community Recreation, Exercise and Wellness, Inc., a local non-profit (CREW), is constructing a building which will have with an indoor ice rink for 9 months of the year and indoor soccer plus special events for the other 3 months of each year. There will be a outdoor trails, picnic areas and ball fields. In Phase II we will build a fitness center above the locker rooms looking out over the rink.
Though we have raised a significant amount of funds towards our goal of nearly $3 million we still need another $150,000 to complete
Phase I. Part of the cost includes a loan financed through the Union Bank and guaranteed through USDA Rural Development.
This project for Lamoille County is a long time coming. It has taken us over five years to get to this stage. Fundraising has spanned the highs and lows of economic times, a terrorist event and 2 wars. Thank you to all who have contributed funds, pledges, donations and in-kind services. This effort demonstrates the will of Lamoille County and its residents. This community facility will provide our children and adults with a healthy and fun year-round recreation center for many generations to come.
