Stowe's award-winning Recreation Path is a 5.3-mile paved trail that starts at the inn and winds its way through forests and meadows, crossing the West Branch River 11 times on arched wooden bridges to eventually bring you to the Village of Stowe .
This scenic path is ideal for biking, jogging, rollerblading and is accessible to numerous shops, and restaurants along the way.
Bike & Rollerblade rentals
The inn has a small selection of mutli-speed bikes available for our guests. However, if we don't have what you need, The Nordic Barn Bicycle shop located nextdoor will.

Located nextdoor, Don Allen and his staff offer a complete inventory of bikes including Adult & Childrens Mountain Bikes, and Comfies-bikes with larger comfortable seats for more casual bikers.
Tag-a-longs- bike frames that are connected to and controlled by the leading adult bike, ideal for youger children not quite ready to ride their own bike.
Kid Trailers- specially designed trailers that hitch on to the back of a parent's bike for use in transporting infants. Allowing the whole family to enjoy the Stowe Rec path adventure.
Rollerblades- The Nordic barn also has an excellent inventory of new rental rollerblades for adults and kids.
