The Inn is within a fifteen minute drive to four golf courses – Stowe Country Club, Country Club of Vermont, The Farm Resort and Copley Country Club. Hiking

With majestic Mount Mansfield (Vermont’s highest peak at 4,392') and the beautiful Worcester range as our backdrop, it’s no wonder that Stowe is known as a mecca for hiking! The famous Long Trail, a 265-mile trail system, crosses over Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak in Stowe. Numerous trailheads connect, providing great access for many day hikes. Horseback Riding -Nordic Barn Riding Stables

Conveniently located nextdoor to the inn is the Nordic Barn Riding Stables(253-6433). Michael Martel and his staff provide a special way for our guests to see the rugged beauty of Vermont's lush woodlands.

 

Music in the Meadows-The Hills are alive with the Sound of Music!

Stowe has a long tradition with the musical arts, including being home to the world renowned Trapp Family singers, made famous in the movie "Sound of Music". In continuance with that tradition, the members of the Stowe community are proud to be home to the Stowe Preforming Arts and the Mozart Festival.

Stowe Theatre Guild Performances

Presenting four theater shows this year, the guild is located on Main St., in the Memorial Building in the Village of Stowe.

 

Swimming

Public beaches are at Lake Eden, Lake Elmore and Caspian Lake. Waterbury Reservoir offers two designated swimming areas. The 635-acre Green River Reservoir is beautiful with various rock outcroppings and a rope swing.
